Brand Architecture

NAIC is the parent brand over a variety of entities, divisions, products, and interest groups. The NAIC wordmark is to be used alone whenever possible. When additional sub-branding is required for clarity or ownership of special activities or initiatives, specific artwork and guidelines will be provided

Visual Hierarchy

The dominant element of all lock-ups is the NAIC wordmark alone. The association name as well as other entities are to be subordinate in all cases. When the association name or other entities are required, only official lockups are to be used. No special typesetting should be used.

Primary Lock-up

Horizontal Standard

This is the preferred lock-up and should be used for most flush-left and flush-right layouts.

Horizontal alternate for small applications

This should be used when a horizontal lock-up is needed and the height of the lock-up will be less than 0.5″.

Stacked Vertical
This is a less preferred lock-up. It should be used for centered layouts, or when horizontal space is limited.

The Lively / Intertwined C Mark

This stylized letterform can be isolated to be used as a thematic graphic treatment in layouts. The mark can only be used on its own if it is cropped. It can be used in colors or tints as shown below, or as a water mark over colored fields and photographs.

Applications

Examples of graphic layouts are for tone and attitude only. Specifics are subject to change during development based on technology and usage.
